Terms of Service
Last Updated: March 19, 2026
1. Usage Policy & Eligibility
By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction). If you are under this age, you must have permission from a legal guardian to use the service.
As a user of Moondrop, you agree that you will not:
- Use this website or its associated services to transmit, publish, or host any harassing, indecent, strictly illegal, fraudulent, or unlawful material.
- Use this website or its associated services in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Use this website to distribute malware, spam, or engage in malicious activities.
- Use this website or its associated services in a way that infringes upon the privacy, intellectual property rights, or other rights of third parties.
Zero-Tolerance Policy: Moondrop maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and non-consensual sexual content (also known as revenge porn). Any account found hosting or distributing such material will be permanently terminated without notice and reported to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where required by law. We reserve the right to proactively scan or review content if we receive credible reports of misuse.
2. User Content & Intellectual Property
You retain 100% of your intellectual property ownership rights over the content you upload to Moondrop. We do not claim any ownership over your images or files.
By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license strictly for the purpose of hosting, storing, and serving your content to you and the people you choose to share it with. We will never sell, distribute, or use your uploaded content for marketing, advertising, or compiling data sets.
Moondrop respects the intellectual property rights of others. If we receive a valid copyright infringement notice (DMCA takedown request) from a rights holder regarding content hosted on our platform, we will promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material.
You are solely responsible for the content you upload. You agree that Moondrop will not be liable for any user-uploaded content under any circumstances.
3. Infrastructure & Service Commitment
In order to provide our services reliably and securely, Moondrop utilizes certain third-party infrastructure providers, including but not limited to Cloudflare for routing and security, Backblaze for secure file storage, and Vercel for application hosting.
While we strive to provide a highly available and secure environment for your data by utilizing these world-class services, Moondrop is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We maintain regular backups and security protocols, but we cannot guarantee that the service will be entirely uninterrupted or error-free at all times.
4. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Moondrop or Scryptica be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or temporary service outages) arising out of the use or inability to use the services, even if notified of the possibility of such damage.
5. Fair Use Policy
Moondrop does not enforce a fixed storage quota per user. However, the platform is designed primarily as a file sharing service — a place to upload and share files with others, not as a personal cloud backup or bulk archiving solution.
To ensure fair access and platform stability for all users, we ask that you use the service in a way that is consistent with its intended purpose. The following behaviors are considered misuse and may result in account suspension or termination:
- Uploading large volumes of files in a short period of time (e.g. hundreds of files in a single session or within a short timeframe).
- Using Moondrop as a primary backup solution, bulk media archive, or data dump for files you do not intend to actively share.
- Automated or scripted mass uploads that place disproportionate load on our infrastructure.
We reserve the right to remove files, throttle uploads, or terminate accounts that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be abusing the service. If you are unsure whether your intended use falls within fair use, feel free to reach out at info@moondrop.cc before proceeding.
6. Account, Payments & Governance
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at info@moondrop.cc or using the account deletion tools provided. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access at any time if we determine you have violated these Terms.
No Refunds Policy: Moondrop is a private, invitation-only service. All payments made towards obtaining access, as well as any subscription fees or donations, are final and non-refundable. By completing a payment for an invitation or access, you acknowledge the private nature of the service and agree that no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
Payment Processing: Payments are processed via third-party providers (Stripe and Ko-fi). Moondrop does not store or have access to your full credit card details. By completing a transaction, you agree to the terms and privacy policies of these third-party processors. Membership access is considered a digital service delivered immediately upon successful payment verification, and as such is exempt from standard cooling-off or cancellation rights under applicable consumer protection regulations.
Chargebacks & Disputes: Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer for a valid charge from Moondrop is considered a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate and permanent account termination. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at info@moondrop.cc before initiating any dispute, and we will make every reasonable effort to resolve the issue.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will endeavor to notify users of significant changes, but continued use of the service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
